Beyond the Trees Linocut Print

Limited edition linocut print.  Stonehenge paper measures 11x14".  Oil based ink image covers approximately 9x10.5" of 11x14" white paper.  Signature, date, title, and edition number written below the image.

"Beyond the Trees" linocut is based on a creative garden that sits next to the Ulysses S. Grant Historic Site.  The trees on the historic site have always invited me to stop a minute and ponder the people that have walked there before me.  What was happening in their lives?  Were they happy or in distress?  The trees seem to hold secrets that they are not willing to tell.  Their energy never ceases to amaze me!

These particular flowers interested me because of their bold colors contrasting with the surrounding trees.  Such small and mighty colors in a forest of dark tones.
