“Intersection” depicts two, red tulips surrounded by green leaves and blue shapes.  The image is intentionally semi-abstract in the bottom right corner.  It leaves room for the viewer to wonder where reality ends in the work and abstraction begins.

The photo that the tulips were based on was taken at a four way intersection in my neighborhood.  The tulips were such a contrast to the giant areas of concrete that I had to stop and photograph them.

Beyond the tulips literal location in an intersection, I find myself coming to a crossroads in other areas of life.  This print gave me the mental space to meditate on those transitions and choices.
